Redhawk Daily Report

BOYS: After a record breaking season a year ago, the boys program will try and do one better in the next campaign. This year the Redhawks will feature new leadership with four new captains - Sean Harney, Robby Pini, Scott Reynolds and Matt Sullivan. All four of the players made the varsity team as freshman and will now be responsible for leading the next installment of players. As defending Herget Division champions, tying a program high in wins (17), and making it to the South Sectional semi-final, Coach Kaplan's crew will have high expectations. Needing to replace some key players - specifically on the back end it will be a new year and a new team but one thing is for certain - their goals for the season will not be different.

GIRLS: Coach Ihloff's crew made the playoffs for only the third time in program history and will look to build on their momentum. They got a playoff win under their belt with an upset victory in the first round before their season ended against higher seeded Plymouth. It will be Ihloff's third year behind the bench, and after winning just one game in his first season, then making the playoffs in year #2, there is no doubt that year #3 carries bigger and better expectations.
